According to BGL, a German organisation in transport and logistics, the German customs authorities started to enforce the minimum wage of € 8.50 Euros an hour. The German customs are controlling transport companies from Hungary and the Czech Republic. The situation is more oppressive as customs demand the requested documents to have them delivered in German. This concerned: registration documentation, European license, tax numbers and other tax information, vehicle registration, contract of employment, planning concerning the route in Germany, parking, toll payment, food and fuel. Meanwhile word has it that the European Commission is against such actions. There is said to be letter in preparation, in which Germany is ordered to stop. Failure to do so, could lead to legal action against Germany.
